The Indiana Short-Term Rental Alliance is an advocacy group for short-term rental owners in Indiana. They promote best practices among hosts, positive neighborhood communication, and awareness of state/city/district regulations in their community. The group was formed by several short-term rental owners who spoke in measured support of Senate Bill 461. The bill allows local governments to charge short-term rental owners a $25 annual inspection fee and specifies that local code enforcement employees should inspect the properties for sanitation, safety, and essential services. The alliance aims to improve relationships with long-term residents and weed out "bad hosts" who make short-term rental owners look bad. They want to work with everyone to make things better for their neighbors all around Indianapolis and still be able to host guests and have them have a great time in the city.
