For me, art is a way to document fleeting moments in time, such as a shy smile, or the intricate patterns of a blooming flower. I often use nature as my muse, particularly in my latest works with acrylic on canvas. I have continued to explore abstract marks and shapes to represent shadowy and mysterious landscapes. I paint to satisfy an expression of joy I feel when I observe impelling colors, shapes, lines, and patterns. I draw inspiration from what has been, what is, and all things that are possible and sometimes impossible. I embed songs, words, marks and emotion into every layer of a painting to create an image that is a reflection of a part of myself.
